Las Terminales Portuarias en todo el mundo son un lucrativo negocio que trata sobre una suerte de intermediación en los movimientos de mercaderías hacia y desde los buques que las transportan. Las relaciones de derecho que estas traban, fuera de los casos en que las mismas consistan en una pura gestión estatal, son numerosas y específicas. Muchos propugnan también un régimen específico de regulación, y siguiendo moldes maritimistas notoriamente favorable a la conveniencia de las Terminales. Un detenido exámen de las cuestiones planteadas en el derecho argentino llevaría a comprobar que esto es una aventurada afirmación. Bastaría con la aplicación de lo regulado por el derecho común, por el derecho marítimo y multimodal en su caso, por ejemplo la aplicación de la cláusula “Himalaya” y por el derecho comercial. Debe distinguiré, sin embargo, la responsabilidad extracontractual, de la contractual, sea frente al Estado, a sus empleados, a los usuarios, etc y examinarse con prolijidad los fundamentos de estas responsabilidades, las exoneraciones, y los supuestos “limites” que se intentan. Start-up of the mesophilic anaerobic co-digestion of two-phase olive-mill waste and cattle manure using volatile fatty acids as process control parameter

In this work, the start-up and stabilization stages of mesophilic anaerobic co-digestion of 2POMW and CM in a semi-continuously fed stirred tank reactor (SSTR) were analyzed. Volatile fatty acids (VFAs) were monitored and used as the main control parameter for the start-up and stabilization stages, as well as to evaluate the potential inhibition episodes. The results showed that accumulation of propionic acid was the key factor in the inhibition of the methanogenic phase, leading to process imbalance. To avoid the problems associated with inhibition by high VFA concentrations, several reinoculations were performed using a suitable inoculum adapted to VFA degradation. The start-up phase was carried out in batch conditions for 97 days, reaching a final concentration of propionic acid of 12.77 mg/L. From that moment, the reactor was fed in a semi-continuous mode with a hydraulic retention time (HRT) of 40 days. A total period of 140 days was required to achieve a stable performance of the reactor with a methane productivity of 0.34 LCH4/LRd

Mesophilic anaerobic co-digestion of two-phase olive-mill waste and cattle manure: Optimization of semi-continuous process

Anaerobic co-digestion of organic wastes is an effective technology for the management of two or more substrates with different characteristics. In this context, the main objective of this work was the optimization of biogas production for the treatment of a mixture of two-phase olive-mill waste (2POMW) and cattle manure (CM) (60:40 w/w) at mesophilic temperature range (35 degrees C). The effect of hydraulic retention time (HRT) on the performance and stability of the digestion process was studied. A decreasing series of HRTs in the range of 40-12 days was analyzed. The corresponding organic loading rates (OLR) were in the range 2.01-6.07 gVS/L(R)middotd. Pseudo steady-state operation of the reactor was established for HRTs between 40 and 15 days. For 15-days HRT, the maximum values of methane productivity (0.94 LCH4/L(R)middotd) and specific methane yield (0.52 LCH4/gVS(removed)) were obtained while total acidity (measured as acetic acid) in the effluent were < 150 mg/L, verifying process stability. In addition, the removal efficiencies of volatile solids (VS) and dissolved organic carbon (DOC) were 38 and 67 %, respectively. At 12-days HRT, decreases in methane production and organic matter removal efficiencies were observed, with values of 27 and 47 % for VS and DOC removal, respectively. Therefore, 12-days HRT was considered as inadequate for the anaerobic co-digestion of 2POMW and CM because a clear increase in volatile fatty acids was observed at the end of this period, leading to process destabilization and a decrease in biogas production

Sistema de consulta de notas a través de Páginas Web y de Telefonía Móvil

In this paper we are going to present a system which lets any student at Cordoba University knows what the final qualifications he has obtained in the different subjects he is registered are. The sytem lets him consult the qualifications using Internet and mobile telephony. Teachers who are reagistered in the system can upload tha qualifications without addtional software, they only need the certificate file generated by the UcoActas application. Then, all the registered students in this subject and in this service, will receive an e-mail to notify them that they can consult the qualifications. Then, they can use a Web browser or they can use a specific mobile application to consult them. Currently we are doing functionality tests with voluntary students from different courses.En este artículo se presenta un sistema que permite a cualquier alumno de la Universidad de Córdoba informarse sobre las calificaciones finales obtenidas en las asignaturas en las que está matriculado. El sistema permite consultar las notas de las actas utilizando Internet y Telefonía Móvil. Los profesores que estén dados de alta en el sistema podrán subir las notas sin necesidad de utilizar un tercer "software", directamente con el fichero de las actas generado por el programa UcoActas. Una vez subidas las notas, todos los alumnos matriculados que estén suscritos a este servicio, recibirán un e-mail con el aviso de que la consulta en la Web está disponible. Si el alumno lo desea, también podrá consultar sus notas publicadas utilizando un programa para dispositivos móviles que hará una petición segura al sistema. Hydrogen sulfide: From a toxic molecule to a key molecule of cell life

Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) has always been considered toxic, but a huge number of articles published more recently showed the beneficial biochemical properties of its endogenous production throughout all regna. In this review, the participation of H2S in many physiological and pathological processes in animals is described, and its importance as a signaling molecule in plant systems is underlined from an evolutionary point of view. H2S quantification methods are summarized and persulfidation is described as the underlying mechanism of action in plants, animals and bacteria. Effects of a neuroscience-based instructional guide on college student learning

The article aims to demonstrate the impact of neuroscience as an instructional strategy on student learning. This was an experimental research with a pre-experimental design that used a sample of 60 students on the Mathematics 1.0 course of the first cycle of the Continental University in the Academic period II - 2021. Significant contrasts were found between the results obtained before and after the application of the designed instructional guide, since the T value obtained is related with a significance level lower than 0.01, confirming the research hypothesis. When evaluating the effect of the application of the instructional guide with neuroscience as a strategy, it is shown to favorably affect the learning of students of the Mathematics 1.0 course of the first cycle of the Continental University, strengthening the entire learning process so that these can become meaningful. Therefore, it is recommended to continue implementing the instructional guide in all higher education courses without being limited to a single course as in the present study, as well as continue researching on the subject with larger samples.Campus Lima Centr
